"Mentorship and emotional intelligence is the foundation of new Nurse development "- Tiff Gibson
A brave and safe place for student and new Nurses to be vulnerable and work through the challenges of being a novice Nurse.
With coaching, networking, collaboration, discussion, reflective journaling and mentoring, the Personal Preceptor Club is where student and new to practice Nurses go to master emotional intelligence, growth and development.

Transition to Practice
Nursing school does not prepare students to be a competent Nurse.
New grads/new hire Nurses need more than a few weeks of clinical orientation to become thoughtful, well-rounded, critically thinking and emotionally intelligent Nurses.
Being a new Nurse is a complete lifestyle change. The learning curve is steep - there's so much to know, do and see. You don't know what you don't know and a lot of times you're afraid to ask. And when clinical orientation is over and you no longer have your Preceptor micro-managing your skills, tasks and patient interactions.
So now what?
Feeling lost, anxious, overwhelmed and on the verge of tears everyday is not conducive to growing in Nursing.
As a new Nurse, it is crucial to surround yourself with other new Nurses in a judgement-free, open and honest community to vent, share lessons and learn how to navigate the sometimes muddy waters of Nursing.
There's power in proximity

Stephanie P., LPN Student
I joined the Personal Preceptor Club because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone with women that inspired me and would hold me accountable in areas that I struggle in (give it to me straight, no chaser😬) and motivate me at the same time
The Personal Preceptor Club means to me a place where I can vent, learn, and grow.
Since joining the Personal Preceptor Club, I’ve starting to fill my cup first thanks to my 1:1 with Tiffany Gibson.

Cassandra P., Nursing Student
I joined the Personal Preceptor Club to create a support system as I started my nursing journey. I needed real guidance and a group that I can relate to being an educated Black woman and someone that got tired of being walked on in the healthcare system.
The Personal Preceptor Club means to me is a tribe/family/village that holds everyone accountable. No competition, egos or classes. True support to make sure that successfully you can handle the ins and outs of being a nurse. Since joining the Personal Preceptor Club, I’ve passed all finals and successfully completed my first term of nursing school.

I joined the personal preceptor club because I wanted to master my pivot. I wanted to be around students and nurses and learn the art of transitioning from student nurse to nurse. I saw there was a lack and I needed it filled. The preceptor club means the world to be because it has given me great insight on what to expect and what my role is as a competent nurse will entail .

Christine J. RN - Nurse Director
I joined the Personal Preceptor Club to seek guidance on how to navigate the LVN - RN transition smoothly. I wanted to learn how to leverage the years of experience I already had to help me in my upcoming job search.
The Personal Preceptor Club means to me, that I’m never alone. I have a group of amazing, strong and driven women to bounce ideas, curiosities, triumphs, and tribulations off of and someone is always there to hype you up or help you out. They’re my tribe for sure and I couldn’t be more blessed for that! Since joining the Personal Preceptor Club, I’ve successfully transitioned from LVN - RN, accepted and rocked a Director of Nursing role, decided that it didn’t sit well with my 5 pillars and realized that my work life balance isn’t where I want it to be and that it’s okay to seek something different. I applied and got hired for a job that is not only more in line with my goals but will offer me more work life balance and family time!!
