Nurse Educator, Professional Development Specialist
I am a Clinical Nurse Educator who focuses on crisis prevention, Diversity & Inclusion in healthcare, reducing workplace violence, nurse aide engagement, student Nurse education, and new Nurse development.
While working as an Educator at a Level II Magnet Hospital in Pennsylvania, I also work as adjunct faculty at Drexel University School of Nursing in a clinical instructor role for the Pediatric course.
I graduated from Temple University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s in Public Health, obtained my Bachelor’s in Nursing from Drexel University in 2008. I graduated from Walden University with a Master’s degree in Nursing Education in August 2017. Recently, I completed a post-masters certificate in Healthcare Diversity Leadership from Thomas Jefferson University - Institute of Emerging Health Professions.
My two national board certifications, are in Nurse Professional Development Specialist, (ANCC) and Pediatric Nurse from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. I'm also an Instructor for Basic Life Support -CPR (American Heart Association) and Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (Crisis Prevention Institute).
Aside from my spunky and sassy 5-year old daughter, my pride and joy is New Nurse Academy, LLC, where I provided tutoring, mentoring and coaching for student , novice Nurses, as well as nurse educators and clinical instructors.
